About Get Example Files
Get Example Files is a library of sample files for testing uploads, previews, imports and conversions. It is designed for developers, QA testers and anyone who needs a ready-made file to check an application.
Each format page lists available downloads, file sizes and checksums. Choose a sample for a quick manual check, or use its checksum when your automated tests need a repeatable input.
Downloads are checked for availability and listed size. SHA-256 checksums are provided so you can confirm you received the expected file.
Who this is for
Primary audience: QA and software teams testing uploads, viewers, converters, size limits, and CDN delivery. If you are writing a test that needs “a 5 MB PDF” or “a sample CSV with a stable URL,” this site is for you.
How files are checked
- Sample files are generated for testing (not scraped from user documents).
- Each size is uploaded to
cdn.get-examplefiles.com. - We confirm the download is available and matches the expected size before listing it.
- Format pages show actual size, MIME type, and SHA-256 checksums.
Files contain no personal data and are intended for controlled upload and parser testing. A matching SHA-256 proves you received the published bytes — it is not a malware scan or a guarantee that every application will accept the file. Always confirm the checksum if your pipeline requires a pinned fixture.
What you’ll find
Browse Documents, Images, Audio, Video, Archives, and Developer Files. Each format page lists several download sizes with checksums.
New formats are added when they have working downloads and clear test value.
